TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.

FIX API is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is something about priorities.

Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You put money in, they top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
